About Charles Hammer

I’m the kind of person you turn to when you need to get something done, when there’s lots of risk, when there are many teams that need to contribute or else it will fail, when decisions need to be made. I’m comfortable applying the latest technologies to new products, including AI/ML and large data sets. Examples of my work include- I have created and led cross-functional teams that have developed roadmaps and processes that have improved efficiencies and contributed to revenue growth- I've applied machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to existing data and software assets that enabled customers to better identify new compounds leading to additional revenue - I've been the Business lead for migration of a $600 million content delivery platform. I work with the key players, present to the right people, and communicate issues when they arise. I have great experience with using quantitative and qualitative research to uncover unmet needs, matching those needs to business strengths, and achieving approval to build, buy or partner. I also have experience with creating new products in large environments. Although I can work independently, I don’t claim to get things done by myself. I’ve managed and created great teams, including product managers, user researchers and interaction designers. I make a difference in organizations that want (or need) to grow and are ready to commit something to do it. I still want to learn and have a manager who respects people while keeping us focused on the goal. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, doing home improvement and baking. I also enjoy giving back to the community by volunteering as an advocate through Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Jersey for a child in foster care.
