About Charles Lesperance

Over the past six years, I've had the privilege of completing both my Bachelor's degree in English, as well as my Master's degree in Writing at Coastal Carolina University. During my time as an undergraduate student, I spent three years working as a writing tutor. As I began my Master's program, I spent one additional year as a graduate tutor, and then moved on to teach as a first-year lecturer for the following two semesters. As a tutor and teacher, I was able to grow confidently in my ability to analyze, edit, and advise from within an academic setting. On top of gaining a keen eye for detail, I became an adaptable learner, which gave me the competency to apply my many skills towards a wide variety of situations. These experiences led me to find a love for academic work and a passion for student success. While my long-term goals would have me teaching at the college level again, I'm looking for opportunities that would help me show my flexibility as a writer and my capability as a teacher. I spend a lot of my free time writing creatively, reading, entertaining my cats, playing video games, and watching tv/movies. I'm a big fan of entertainment and would jump at an opportunity to utilize my writing skills in a position that allows me to share my creative talents with others.
