I started in the bakery in 1973 as a donut fryer and clean up person. I then advanced to an apprentice Baker in 1974 for Barbara's Bake Shop in Des Moines, IA. Learned complete scratch baking from breads to the pastry line. In January of 1984 I went to California to further my education and career in the Baking field of the culinary arts. Been strong in the pastry line since 1973 until 2002 and went to farming but I still managed to dabble in the pastry line and have been back at it full time since August of 2014.
