About Charles Mallah

Over 10 years professional experience as a computer research engineer and software engineer; and over 6 years working full time on my own projects. I am a Ph.D. in Computer Science who works with any technology or programming language (polyglot). I have a massive and wide interest in many things, including the work I have done in the past. I have a thirst for learning and exploring things that I do not understand - and then I try to master those things. Sometimes that curiosity will lead me to unknown areas of work! This has ranged from pure research with image processing and machine vision, to server and web based augmented reality apps; I have more room to learn in the web space as well. I summarise my work related attributes as the following: Computer Engineering with many technologies - C++; Java; Lua; Matlab; Python; Electron Apps, NodeJS Javascript/TypeScript back and front end, OpenGL graphics rendering; GLSL shaders, WebGL Research engineering - Proposing areas of investigation; researching literature; testing and building new theories; writing reports on new technology and experimental results. Project management - Planning and estimating work; writing reports on progress; taking ownership or code areas; dividing up workload for the team.
