About Charles Marcy
Now retired in 2022, Mr. Marcy taught economics & business courses since 1983, and for Garden City Community College since 2004. He has been nominated by his students at as an Outstanding Faculty member. In addition to teaching duties, Mr. Marcy hosts Bi-ennial Economics Symposiums which brings community college economics students and faculty from across Kansas and the region together with local business and government leaders to examine economic issues in detail. Mr. Marcy has also accumulated over 25 years of business experience conducting small business consulting, as well as serving as Director of Field Operations, Production Manager, and Financial Analyst. His business experience encompasses everything from a family owned business to working for a Fortune 500 company. Mr. Marcy received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hanover College and his MBA in Finance from Xavier University (Cincinnati).
