Charles is a results-driven commercial real estate executive with more than two decades of experience, specializing in development, team and project management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. Proven leader and manager of diverse projects spanning industrial, office, hotel, retail, and mixed-use developments representing $2.5B in deployed capital. Highly adept in navigating complex environments and relationships, managing large budgets, and leading cross-functional teams. Demonstrated expertise in delivering high-quality, timely, and financially successful projects while fostering dynamic relationships with partners, investors, and government entities. Accomplished and highly regarded subject matter expert known for delivering engaging presentations as speaker at industry conferences/forums and guest lecturer for universities. Prior to joining Portman Holdings, he worked for WestWind Capital Partners on the asset management team overseeing a trophy office and class-A retail portfolio valued at $2.5 billion. Before WestWind, he worked in private equity for Eads & Heald Investment Counsel. Charles currently serves on the NAIOP Mixed-Use Development National Forum and is on the Creative Development Council for ULI Atlanta. He is active in his community, serving on the stewardship board for North Point Ministries, is a founder and advisory board member for East Cobb Church, and is also a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and instructor. Charles earned a degree in Finance from The University of Georgia.
