A professionally trained Studio Artist with more than 14 years of Studio Arts experience in the areas of 2 Dimensional Design, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, & Installation and 12 years of hands-on training in Graphic Design, Art Production and Digital Communication. A lifelong Teacher, Artist, Musician and Martial Artist. Holding a Master of Fine Art in Art from Texas A&M University-Commerce since 2007, Charles Reid has conducted extensive research in the fields of Visual and Communication Arts over the years. In addition to the production of an expansive body of studio work, teaching, exhibition production and gallery management experience, he has also provided consultation, design, and production of graphic elements for print, web, marketing and other communication applications to a wide variety of commercial, government, and non-profit clients. In relation to his studio and communications experience, Charles utilizes an exhausitve knowledge of 2 Dimensional Design, Drawing & Painting, 3 Dimensional Design, Sculpture and Mixed Media capabilities, and he also possesses skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Technical Illustration, and Creative Writing. As a small business owner with ASAH Creative Studios, this hybridized approach to living as an Art Professional brings Studio Art and Communications together in a realistic, relationship-driven, sustainable way. Visual narrative cohesion, developmental experimentation and presentation execution are emphasized in his approach to all projects and his passion for teaching is evident across all disciplines.
