About Charles Rencher

Students need innovative solutions to pressing institutional problems, so I've joined the ranks of those searching for systemic initiatives to counteract inequity in public education. By developing an educational program that differentiates instructional practices as automatically and efficiently as the changing population we serve, I have decided to be one of millions to learn, teach, and grow in academia. I serve as the Instructional Design Leader of my own proprietary educational services company that provides supplemental support to schools, community centers, parents and businesses. My experience serving the youth of southeast Michigan encompasses approximately 2 decades of teaching, leading, and consulting. I attended the University of Michigan and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology and Master of Arts in Educational Studies. I completed my doctorate in educational leadership at Michigan State University. I have held positions ranging from after school Enrichment Program Director to Director of Education for an independent educational service provider. My love of education has lead me to the administrative track where I served as the academic leader of instructional practices related to classroom management and structure. During my tenure, student expulsion and suspension rates decreased and student achievement increased. I believe that challenges in education spark innovation and obstacles are opportunities to develop equitable systems.
