Since leaving the USMC in 1985 I have worked in the telecommunication/data networks in almost every aspect from construction, ISP and OPE and maintaining the networks. Education High school diploma Also have my Electrical Training card to get my 07. Military Service 1976 to 1985 United States Marine Corps Honorable Discharge Communications / Navigation tech on fighter aircraft. Summary of qualifications Senior Operations Tech Network Services Outside/Inside Plant I have a strong technical background working on complex assignments Within the network systems installations and/or maintenance activities. Maintained multiple transport systems. Diagnostic testing ability on multiple telecom platforms. SME on AC and DC power. Trouble shoot and resolve network problems involving power, network hardware and software, lines, modems and terminals. Proficient in the use of software and hardware to identify and diagnose network status and problems, conduct complex network monitoring during equipment installations and maintenance activities. Test and turn up circuits, cross-connects and any other wiring. Trouble shoot and repair any hardware, competent in testing and trouble shooting DS3 to OC-192 optical circuits and the use of the associated test equipment. Proficient with Excel spreadsheets including Microsoft Word, and Outlook. Perform work associated with trouble tickets, WFA, Change Management tickets and MOPs. Can accurately maintain site inventories, and fiber assignments. Initiate and provide input on engineering plans for construction work on or around Fiber Optic Cable. Read and interpret as-built drawings and provide updates as necessary. Competent in all duties/tasks during restorations and hot-cuts at work location or in sites. Perform cable locate functions using locating wands and as-built drawings. Supervise construction work on or around the fiber optic plant.
