About Charles Silverman

Chuck Silverman, CAMS Senior Vice President, AML/BSA, Corporate Security, Information Security Chuck Silverman’s experience in the banking industry extends back over a span of 38 years. He began his career in 1980 as a Teller with the Philadelphia Savings Fund Society (PSFS), and through the years, held various positions. In 1986 Chuck was promoted to Branch Manager/Commercial Loan Officer. In 1995, he left PSFS to pursue an opportunity at Commerce Bank (Mt. Laurel, NJ) as Regional Operations Officer. Following his tenure as Regional Operations Officer, Chuck was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Deposit Operations where he supervised multiple departments including the AML/BSA and Deposit Loss Prevention. In 2003, Chuck was promoted to Vice President and was asked to form the AML Investigations Unit for Commerce Bank. Three years later, Chuck was promoted to Deputy AML Program Director. In September 2008 Chuck joined Beneficial Bank as the Senior Vice President of AML/BSA and Corporate Security. His responsibilities include providing oversight and supervision of the Bank’s AML/BSA and Security Programs. Chuck is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS®) since 2007 and has his A+ Certification as a computer technician. Chuck also serves on the Executive Board of the Citizens Crime of Philadelphia, Advisory Board of the Philadelphia Corporation for the Aging and the FIS Bankway Advisory Board for the Northeast region.
