About Charles Twamugabo

Charles is a 30+ year energy veteran, with main concentration in the electric power utility's supply chain management. A dynamic leader with a blend of engineering / technical expertises, coupled with operation and commercial experience, Charles has lead and/or supported several multi billion power infrastructure projects in the last 10 years. Charles is currently the Chief Executive Officer of SVI Services, Inc.(SVI), a firm that he founded in 2009. SVI is an engineering, supply management and project management services provider. SVI offerings span across all industries, but its main root and focus is in the design and delivery of best-of-breed technical and supply management solutions to the energy, power and utilities industries. Prior to establishing SVI, Charles served as a Senior Executive with Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG & E), where he was responsible for the company’s multibillion sourcing and procurement operations, supplier diversity, materials management, transportation and logistics operations; and was recognized for transforming PG & E’s supply chain and supplier diversity programs into industry leading practices. Earlier in his career, Charles held key leadership positions with General Electric Company (GE), from entry-level to executive positions, in global sourcing operations, manufacturing operations, six sigma quality. The GE training and experience, including Lean Six Sigma training and certifications as Black Belt and Master Black Belt, have served as the foundation to Charles’ professional career, entrepreneurship and now services offering to the energy and power utility industry. A graduate of the Purdue University Mechanical Engineering School, Charles is a member of various technical and engineering institutions, business associations, and community-based organizations that focus in the development of future leaders from under represented communities.
