About Charles Walker

As a Medical Registrar at Royal North Shore Hospital, and previous Senior Resident Medical Officer at Sydney Eye Hospital, I’ve gained a wealth of experience in clinical medicine, surgery, and critical care. I’ve achieved this while working in the Australian public health system throughout and after the Covid pandemic. I am passionate about medical education, clinical research, and hospital governance. I am an associate clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney, teaching medical students to develop their clinical reasoning and communication skills. I have co-authored several peer reviewed publications, and continue to contribute to research. Currently, I am working on research at the Save Sight Institute on the diagnosis of drug-induced retinal toxicity, to fight irreversible blindness in people with autoimmune disease.
