About Charles Ward

I have over 15 successful years of advancement through the food service industry, and it is time to put away the knives and hang up the coat. In the wake of starting a family, I am seeking to re-enter the Engineering Industry, leveraging my diverse technical background, engineering education, and hands-on work experience to make a positive impact on the world. While studying Mechanical Engineering at The Missouri University of Science and Technology, I worked at a number of restaurants where I kindled a passion for food that begged exploration. Throughout the next decade I have capitalized on chances to broaden my experience and refine my understanding of engineering principles and design considerations. For example: Design for manufacturing utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS to draft blueprints for hobbyist carpentry projects, or Construction management and engineering in the wireless infrastructure industry with FDH Velocitel, or Testing of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other electronics while manufacturing control panels at ControlTech Automation, or Inspection, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and machining as a Gauge Assembler at the Sunnen Coorporation, or Inspection, root cause analysis, maintenance and repair as a Small Engine Mechanic with General Lawn Equipment. Demonstrated continuous improvement in the culinary industry ultimately allowed me to prove my ability to generate $1M+ in annual revenue through a neighborhood favorite tapas bar.
