About Charlie Beech

Quick stats/the boring stuff: I studied Economics, Sculpture and Welding in Asheville NC. While studying, I worked with a metal sculptor for 4 years where I got to be creative, learned the basics of metal art and got some appreciation for metal as a medium. Life brought me to Columbus, and I joined the Yellow Weld team in 2021. Now for the deep stuff: I believe my life's purpose is to leave something better for the next group that comes along after me. Whether that’s a week, a year or 100 years later is unimportant- as long as it makes life a bit more colorful for someone else. Playgrounds and roller coasters are fun, handrails make life easier, and sculptures engage the mind. Helping a friend move is rewarding, doing yard work for an elderly neighbor spreads joy, and planting a tree gives the next generation shade. If it’s building something or helping someone I’m into it. Make life colorful for someone, we’re all just walking each other home in the end. That’s part of the reason why I joined the Yellow Weld crew- it was obvious from the get-go that these guys make life colorful.
