About Charlotte Devol
Hello! My name is Charlotte and as long as I can remember, I’ve always been about helping people. Even if it is a small thing, it can go a long way to making someone’s day just a little bit brighter. As a PhD student, I have a unique opportunity to keep helping people through research. I am most interested in studying novel techniques for improving rehabilitation and recovery after neurological injury. Currently, I am leading several projects studying how non-invasive spinal stimulation affects walking and neuromechanics in children with cerebral palsy. My favorite things about my job are constantly learning new skills to better answer my research questions, collaborating with fellow academics and clinicians, mentoring younger students, and of course, hanging out with my amazing research participants! When not doing research or taking classes, I can be found rock climbing, walking my dog, volunteering at a local food bank, or organizing events with the Society of Women Engineers.
