I’m Charlotte and I am a project manager at Applied Works; a creative agency that specialises in the development of digital tools and products that help visualise data, make it accessible and more impactful. My data journey began in 2019, supporting teams to carry out R&D, develop tools and make ideas about data accessible at the Open Data Institute. After that I moved to Icebreaker One, where I was facilitating the delivery of Perseus, a national programme working to automate sustainability reporting for U.K. SMEs to unlock green finance and reach net zero faster. Some other awesome things I have supported project teams to develop and deliver- An operational data institution (similar to a data trust) providing approved researchers access to patient eyescan datasets, in order to develop new and improved detection/ diagnostic tools and treatments - Interactive tools and resources to help teams and individuals navigate data-sharing topics in their organisations - OpenCovid - a Covid19 response project that helped organisations share/ unlock critical data safely in the early months of the pandemic - Countless blogs, research projects, white papers and reports aimed at moving the topic of data-sharing up the agenda and making key ideas widely accessible - Interactive workshops, peer learning networks and events - Cutting-edge, capacitive sensor prototypes for clients as well as interactive project kits using conductive paint for their maker customers.
