About Charlotte Simmonds
I am an American Brit who grew up in San Francisco and returned to London in 2009. Since then I’ve worked as an arts reporter, an editorial assistant on a weekly politics magazine, and an editor at a fast-growing publishing start-up. I’ve written for publications such as the Guardian, New Statesman, Prospect, Charity Times, It’s Nice That and ArtSlant, and I have solid experience overseeing print and digital publishing projects and working with businesses and non-profits to help them find their voice and develop content-oriented communication strategies. Two years ago I returned to the Bay Area to join the team launching the Guardian's west coast bureau, where I work as a copy editor and writer with particular passion for food-related issues.
