About Charlotte So

Leverage story-telling skillsets acquired from my journalism background, I help the venture capital/digital transformation agency I currently employed to use stories to garner interests from stakeholders in the start-up ecosystem, increase engagement and conversion by telling the audience how the organization can address to their intrinsic needs. I am fortunate to witness how digital transformation challenges the status quo of various industries, from retail, food, property to finance. My current role enables me to explore the entire digital journey of a customer from a holistic point of view, from website design, email marketing, content marketing to SEO and SEM. Throughout the process, I realize how digital branding can help organizations stand out, generate leads and create sales. Some background about myself: I held managerial position in the real estate industry for four years. I helped a prominent property developer, a Fortune 500 company, to drive public relations strategy and establish brand proposition when it launched its first project in Hong Kong. Banking on my extensive connections with the media in Hong Kong, the developer has successfully told the story about how its distinctive core value allows it to serve the needs of customers better and make it a preferred brand amongst home buyers. I helped a real estate consultancy firm to foster collaborative media relationships in Hong Kong as well as internationally. The organization garnered media coverage in New York Times, BBC worldwide Service, Bloomberg, SCMP and other major Chinese newspapers in Hong Kong. I had been covering finance reporting for SCMP for over eights years and two prominent Chinese newspapers, Hong Kong Economic Times and Ming Pao, for another five years. Before I take a turn to the Public Relations side, I was an independent investment communication specialist, writing short pieces for Jones Lang Lasalle Hong Kong, Pictet Asset Management and other financial institutions for three years.
