About Charmaine Brooks

A Certified Records Manager with more than 25 years of experience, I apply my deep expertise in information governance, electronic records management and consulting to help companies organize and simplify their records for better business performance. As a partner with IMERGE Consulting and its first Certified Records Manager, I help clients organize records to ensure compliance, find information more easily and operate more efficiently. This translates to greater performance, productivity and profitability. During my career, I have managed multi-year, complex projects and served as a records manager for a global semiconductor manufacturer and management at a software company. I help expand our team’s expertise by blending my background in information governance and records management with my knowledge of technology and business processes. This combination, along with my ability to listen, observe and understand a client’s culture and processes, enable me to develop practical solutions that fit a client’s unique needs. A project highlight that reflects the value and impact I bring, I worked with Nissan North America to consolidate and reduce its record retention schedule for 11 affiliates by more than 90 percent, making things dramatically easier for end users. I enjoy the challenge of simplifying the complex and streamlining the voluminous. I love to help others learn and excel at training others and transferring knowledge by explaining technical concepts clearly. It gives me great satisfaction when I see someone get that aha moment when he or she grasps something that first seemed difficult.
