I started my real estate career in 2004 as a first-time investor. I feel fortunate to have been entrenched in the industry when the housing crisis hit in 2007. That was a sentinel event in the lives of many, but especially for investors and industry professionals. I learned a lot of great lessons from the "lost decade". All of those invaluable experiences have culminated in my next venture, HomeProp LLC. HomeProp is a full-service real estate brokerage specializing in Sales and Property Management. With my business partner, Peter Murphy, we have created a firm of experienced professionals who know exactly what it's like to be the client. Our agents are not life-long Realtors. They have been clients far more than they have been agents. Our property managers are landlords themselves. They know what it's like to be the owner and they manage from that perspective. Perspective yields philosophy and philosophy yields action. Having the right perspective is paramount when it comes to serving our clients diligently with integrity! Alongside HomeProp, I am actively involved in the day to day management of a multi-million dollar real estate portfolio owned by our asset holding company, Falcon Investment Corporation of Tampa. This portfolio executes a long-term buy and hold strategy of strategic real estate assets throughout the Tampa Bay area. Additionally, I am involved in several capacities with my alma mater, Florida College. I currently serve as a Professor in the Business Department teaching classes in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate Investment, Organizational Leadership, Management, and Entrepreneurship. I also serve as Trustee for the Florida College Academy, a K-12 private school, and I am a member of the advisory committee for the annual Florida College Impact Gala, formerly the Florida College Leadership Dinner. I am a active member of the University church of Christ in Tampa, serving as a Deacon for the church. My wife and I have members here since In 2016, my business partner, Peter Murphy, and I undertook a spiritual endeavor called MiningTheScripture.com. Our 501(c)3 foundation, The Luke 6:38 Foundation, owns and funds the site which endeavors to aggregate sound biblical teaching from faithful teachers of Truth and make them accessible and searchable in one, easy to use, website. I have a wonderful wife of 22+ years, Tara, and three amazing daughters, Sydney, Ashlyn, and Bailey. We have a small farm outside of Tampa with cows, sheep, goats, chickens, and a pig. We enjoy travelling to and hiking in the National Parks.
