About Chase McConnon

When I was young my parents always encouraged me to go outside and play, learn for yourself and make friends - it is why I have had such a strong interest in team sports since I was a child. For me, the reward of having team success is the best type of reward. You can’t share individual success but you can share team success with those that you just worked hard together with – and I definitely mean worked hard because as they say, success doesn’t come easily. I’m always flying the flag for the Richmond Tigers and still continue to play Basketball, Cricket and the world game of Football. At my local football club, I have gone beyond simply playing as a defender on the field to gain success and have helped out the club by being a member of the committee, coaching junior, youth and senior teams and volunteering my time behind the bar to raise much needed funding. Working on multiple areas of the club has grown my belief that you can achieve even greater club success than just working hard in one area. This has led me to have the strong desire to work with others to achieve success. Working at Wise Lord & Ferguson means that you are a part of a large diverse team which is now an indoor version of what I was doing when I was a child. I see a business as a team with a goal just like on the sports field. The only difference is that the measurement of success isn’t just winning a game, but it is whatever the business owner’s aim to achieve. Therefore to achieve the greatest success, just like my football club you cannot work with on one area of tax; or one area of accounting; or just one individual – your business needs every area working hard to achieve success.
