About Chase Spears

Father to the most amazing people on the planet, husband to my college sweetheart and proven military leader. I have a tremendous passion for public policy that was set aside to wear the uniform. In moving into this next season, I look forward to putting my communication, educational and leadership skills to work advancing responsible citizenship and inspiring the next generation to take up the call of ordered liberty. As a military communicator, I have specialized in aligning organizational communication to the business strategy, pointing teams to a unified purpose and helping to set great culture. I find tremendous fulfillment in leading teams, helping leaders to communicate effectively, and looking for the adventure in life. My work as a military officer focused on connecting senior military leaders to the public, leading and commanding soldiers who provide operational support to senior mission commanders, and directing strategic communication efforts for military operations across parts of the Unites States and Asia. Writing is my favorite creative outlet. I have published widely, in publications that include the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Baltimore Sun. Much of my recent writing focus is in the journal and the book chapter space. My work has been featured worldwide across networks including Fox News and CNN, and I have been quoted in places like PR Week, The New York Times, Washington Examiner, New York Post and Australia’s Morning Bulletin. It has been a life calling for which I am grateful to serve in uniform. Now I look forward to pivoting from service to national defense through being a military officer into service to the same through the debate in the space of ideas and policy.
