About Chase Stoddard
As an Environmental Studies major it has come clear to me how important our wildlife and their habitats are. During the past 4 years in school, I have taken several classes along the lines of wildlife conservation and sustainability. These classes have really shown me a lot about things to better wildlife and their habitats while using sustainability. Over the past I have done volunteer work with Idaho Fish and Game going on a ride along, working in WMA’s (Wildlife Management Area) picking up trash and releasing pheasants, I also did a swab test on mallard ducks for research on avian influenza. I’ve also done volunteer work with Hillside to Hollow here in the Boise foothills with help to increase native species and trail restoration. I am currently in the process of being hired by the Idaho State Parks and Recreation to be a park ranger at lucky peak reservoir. I hope all the volunteering and this job will give me the right experience needed to pursue a career as a Game Warden for Idaho Fish and Game.
