I pride myself on being a committed and eager first-year journalism student with finely tuned leadership skills and an eye for detail. I love taking initiative to tell the important stories and keep the public informed on the things that matter. My passion lies in giving a voice to those who are overlooked in society, and giving them the platform to share their stories. I also have a particular interest crime reporting and investigative journalism. Making a difference in the world is what drives me, and I believe that telling the stories of our communities is crucial for positive change and advancement. I am a hard worker that performs well under pressure, and I thrive in the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of journalism. Over the past few years I have completed the Broadcast News Diploma at SAIT and chose to continue my education in the field as a Print and Online Journalism major. While attending SAIT, I have simultaneously been advancing my leadership and communication skills in my role as Wellness Supervisor at the Calgary Winter Club. My areas of interest include: Crime/Court Reporting, Investigative Reporting, Local Stories, Political Reporting, Radio News Anchoring, Podcast, Editing, Leadership, Communication, Public Speaking, and Project Management
