About Chelsie Edwards

When you think Supply Chain Management, you don’t typically pair it with a real estate concentration. However, these are the two subjects I’ve decided to study during my time at Rutgers. I have always had an interest in real estate, which is most likely rooted from my childhood guilty pleasure of watching countless hours of HGTV and Food Network. However, it wasn’t until recently that I discovered the real estate program and club at Rutgers. Next thing I knew, I was adding Real Estate Law to my schedule and declaring a concentration in Real Estate. Although this concentration doesn’t coincide with my current major, I saw an opportunity to take classes in a subject I’m fascinated by and ran with it. Majoring in Supply Chain Management was also quite a surprise to me. Coming into Rutgers, I had no idea what a supply chain was or what the major entailed. It wasn’t until I took the introductory course in my sophomore year that I discovered that I had an interest in learning how products get from a manufacturer to a consumer and the many other parts of supply chain management. Consequently, I changed my major (after much consideration) and enrolled in a few summer classes to ensure that I didn’t fall behind because of this change. Although my college journey thus far hasn’t been the most conventional, I feel that it is crucial to be able to adapt and take opportunities as they present themselves.
