About Chen-Wei Hung

I am a hands-on AI/ML leader who blends world-class technical skill with a people-first management philosophy. My career in Taiwan and Japan, spanning large-scale enterprises, agile startups, and high-growth Fintech, has taught me how to navigate diverse tech stacks, organizational structures, and lead culturally-mixed teams. This journey solidified my belief that the most innovative technology comes from people who feel supported and understood. I am not a typical engineer; I am a mentor focused on building high-trust, motivated teams. This leadership approach was foundational to my military service as a Company Chief Counselor (Second Lieutenant), where I completed advanced training in applied psychology and was responsible for the morale and performance of a 100-person unit. This unique combination of empathetic leadership and professional breadth is built on a world-class foundation, including winning the 1st prize at the KDD Cup 2010 (worldwide data mining) and holding an M.S. in Computer Science.
