About Chenille Wong
Hello! My name is Chenille and I am a second year medical student at the University of British Columbia! During my three years of undergraduate studies at UBC, I studied Physiopharmacology and Public Health through the Integrated Sciences program. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how topics in pharmacology, including different classes of drugs, their mechanisms of action and therapeutic uses, overlapped with my courses in human physiology. My public health background also helped me understand the ethical implications behind public health interventions, which was especially relevant given the COVID-19 pandemic. In my free time, I love playing the piano, shooting some hoops, spending time with friends and playing with my 2 dogs! I'm passionate about mental health and wellbeing, writing, and cultural sensitivity, and a fun fact about me is that I play a wide variety of sports including ice hockey, badminton and basketball!
