About Chenya Bourne
I am a Registered Physiotherapist who completed a Masters’ degree in Physiotherapy at Oxford Brookes University in the UK. Prior to this, I received her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University My therapeutic approach incorporates a manual hands-on, exercise, and education approach to maximize pain relief, recovery, and prevention of further injuries. I believes in the person-centred approach in which the client is the centre of all decisions and goals. Through this person-centred, holistic approach I have found a passion in the Pelvic Floor and how physiotherapy can help to assist those with understanding their body and how connected our pelvic floor is to all aspects of our functioning. I currently have my Level 1 Pelvic Floor training in incontinence and organ prolapse and Level 2 training for pelvic pain conditions including, but not limited to, vulvodynia, bladder pain syndrome, endometriosis and IBS.
