1975-2005)-He has over 30 years of diversified and progressive professional experience in a public sector trading company(MMTC Ltd.) in the areas of trade development and trade policy. More particularly, developed expertise in international trade in commodities, trade policy,WTO issues,economic and market research,interaction with government agencies and international organisations etc. Prof. Sastry has the distinction of having represented India in UNCTAD and 'Iron ore club' inter governmental deliberations in Geneva, Switzerland. Associated with various institutes,chambers of commerce, export promotional councils etc. Participated in various national and international conferences in India and Abroad in the area of commodity trade.(2006- To date)- During the last 10 years has been working as a professor in the area of International Business in a private Business School. Has been teaching subjects like Export-Import Management, Export Import Products & potentialities, WTO and Trade Policies etc. Actively Participating in Seminars, Workshops, Brain Storming Sessions organised by U.N. ESCAP, Chambers of Commerce, FIEO & FIMI etc.
