About Cherry Bedford
Having grown up on a beef and sheep farm in North Devon I have spent many years looking after livestock and learning about the factors that affect a farm's profitability. This lead me to apply to study Animal Science as a mature student. The course has helped me learn more about the physiology of farm animals and how this can be affected by the environment and husbandry as well as by veterinary interventions. Over the last 5 years I have worked on a number of farms and rural enterprises in order to gain practical knowledge about animal health and welfare. I am passionate about discovering new farming systems and learning more about the ways to make farms more economical without sacrificing sustainability. I am currently completing a Masters in Epidemiology as well as working as a research technician and a freelance data analyst
