Since I can remember, I have had a passion to “help”, regardless of what I was helping with: I was always evaluating issues in order to solve problems, trying to make things better, or simply finding a way to help make people better! I have extended my passion of helping to what I do, it’s what has drawn me to Marketing. As a Marketing professional, I have enjoyed working on a team as a support, by helping bring projects together, using critical thinking skills to solve problems, being an effective project manager by providing organization to planning and implementing events, as well as helping key players understand what is needed of them and providing directions as needed. My goal is to become an asset to a team that will provide me the opportunity to do what I do well. I do not extend my desire solely to where I am now, but I hope to join a team that allows me to learn and grow by increasing my knowledge within a team and in my professional career. Peter Chee (2011) would define a person like me as an A-Player. As an A-Player, I take full responsibility in striving for success. I always reach for success for myself as well as anyone on my team; their success is ultimately my personal success as well. Could you use an A-Player on your team, or are you simply satisfied with B, C, or D players that do just enough to get by?
