Background
About Cheryl B.
As an experienced musician and educator, I have had the good fortune to work with students of all ages, from 5 to 95. I have taught university, college and high school, and particularly enjoy the ability to share ideas and spark enthusiasm in students. I hold a Master's degree in Music, Performance and Literature and a PhD in Cultural Studies, where my research explores the leadership role(s) that women perform across musical genres, with a particular focus on the Canadian context. I have also written on music and accessibility, UDL considerations for online music teaching, and the benefits of music for an ageing population. I am an advocate for continuous learning and accessible education, and I am excited about the possibilities that the future holds for both education and music.
