Invaluable experience as a Research Scientist in the pharmaceuticals industry skilled at both in vivo and in vitro studies. A strong background in Microbiology, currently working in the manufacturing industry as a QC Microbiologist. A strong working knowledge and understanding of drug development processes and terminology. I have effectively communicated and collaborated with all level of my colleagues. Built rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with external contacts(i.e. PhD’s, Equipment Representatives(Tecan), Suppliers of Biologics (microsomes, serum, etc.), sale representatives and various technicians tending to automation instruments. My work involved evaluating novel antibacterial, antiviral, and anti fungal compounds in experimental infections in laboratory animals. These studies included pharmacokinetics parameters, efficacy, and evaluation of toxicity. Ran several High Throughput Screening Assays involved with ADME-Toxicology liability profiling which required multitasking and organizational skills. The data generated from these screens drove critical front line decisions for many therapeutic programs at BMS.
