About Cheryl Graves
For over twenty years I have enjoyed working for nonprofit organizations because they have given me the opportunity to make a positive impact by spreading awareness and making in difference in the lives of the people, their families and the communities that I have served. Most recently while living in Southern Indiana, I was responsible for facilitating research and evidence-based primary prevention program designed to build assets and teach skills through the use of puppets and stories that feature "real-life" situations experienced by a group of children. The program is designed to promote developmental assets to deter the first use of alcohol and other drugs. This program took place in the elementary school setting. I have moved back permanently to York Region and I am anxious to put my skills, knowledge and education to work!
