About Cheryl Johnson

I am passionate about Leadership and developing other's leadership behaviors. My knowledge of and experience with The Leadership Challenge is a continual thread throughout my professional and personal life. I live The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership! I was raised on a 300-acre dairy and know the meaning of hard work. I learned many life lessons on the farm. My personal values are rooted in my childhood and have continued to serve me well throughout my entire life. To this day, I can still hear my father’s voice: “You are only as good as your word.” That is why honesty and integrity is at the foundation of all that I do. I also place a high value on family, love and affection, happiness, and humor. For me, these core values have formed me and continue to shape me – as a person and as a leader. And while these values carry through to my day-to-day interactions, the values I find important in my work are teamwork, dependability, service, friendship, and competence. As the first born in our family, I am strong on responsibility, and I tend to keep a positive outlook on life. I support and encourage good communication and feedback as we discover what we can develop and achieve together. These values and strengths are at my core, and I believe, directly affect and inform my leadership. I know they help me to grow and develop as a leader. I believe that all things are possible. And unless and until we try, we will never know what great things we can achieve together.
