About Cheryl Ockrant

In music I enjoy all types of work in live performances of theatre, poetry and dance collaborations as well as creating sounds and melodic textures for film and media. I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to connect; whether in music, art, theatre, dance, or real estate. I love to find ways to move people; through music and art, or literally into their next home. Specialties: Improvisation with Dance, Spoken Word and Theatre. Teacher of cello, ear and pitch development and improvisation techniques. Performance anxiety and Polyvagal Theory researcher and coach. While teaching I work toward a solid technical background, I open players to their inner ear and work in a holistic, therapeutic setting. Injury prevention is a regular part of our curriculum. Lessons are individually-geared and specific. Stress management and performance anxiety is addressed. In Real Estate, I work with buyers and sellers at all levels and enjoy working creatively to find home solutions to fit individual needs. As a former interior design professional I work with clearing,'staging' and renos. Arts workers, performance spaces, and enhancement of design are my specialty.
