About Cheryl Rogers

I have over 20 years of nonprofit sector experience working for organizations with a social justice mission and served as legal counsel and human resource risk management advisor. As a nonprofit consultant, I worked in collaboration with the board of directors and executives during and after organizational transitions including negotiating formal strategic alliances. My legal background includes all aspects of employment law, nonprofit advising, and compliance with federal and state legislation and contract requirements. I have had the honor of serving in executive positions where I have been an operational leader and roles where I have mentored and collaborated with executives, board members and middle managers on nonprofit management, business initiatives, and human resource development. Gender Equity/Title IX and Domestic/Sexual Assault Response Expertise: Since 2015, I have led Title IX compliance initiatives on campus including investigations, prevention education and developed formal coordinated campus response to dating and domestic violence, sexual harassment, sexual violence, and stalking. I have served as a professional trainer for over 20 years in the areas of human resources, leadership, criminal justice advocacy, sexual and domestic violence response, trauma-informed practice, preventing discrimination and understanding the intersectionality of oppression.
