About Cheryll Harrison Hall

Experienced Teaching professional with a demonstrated history of successful district leadership in Curriculum Development, and administration, recognized as FSHA School Health Coordinator of the Year in 2012. Strong education professional skilled in school leadership, instructional strategies for teachers and administrators as well as professional development, professional learning communities, grant writing, and Staff Development implementation, recognized as Florida K-12 Health Educator of the Year by FAHPERDS in 2003. Have taught and managed data for DCPS behavioral intervention programs for students and their parents/guardians for over 25 years. Have written, reviewed, or advised in textbook adoptions, technology inclusion, and standards writing, revision, and review teams on the district and state level multiple times, as well as having been part of the writing team for the Florida Teacher Certification exam for health education. Have worked with various publishers in their curricular product development and preview prior to publication. Have been an internship mentor to students from the University of Florida, Jacksonville University, and the University of North Florida. Served as assistant athletic director and coached numerous school, club, and developmental teams (soccer, softball, and basketball). Hold current professional membership with the American School Health Association and Florida School Health Association, currently serving as a Councilor on the FSHA board of directors (am also a past president of FSHA). I’ve also held memberships with the Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Dance and Sport (now SHAPE America) and the Florida Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Dance and Sport (now SHAPE Florida), having served on FAHPERDS board of directors two terms as the president of the Florida Association of Professional Health Educators. Am part of teacher advocacy groups with NIDA and McGraw Hill. Have been part of numerous coalitions and helped with University of Florida/IFAS curricular development and implementation, recognized in 2013 with a Friend of Extension Public Service Award from the City of Jacksonville.
