About Cheryll Rogers

Founder of Unicorn Collective, I’m on a mission, determined to scale positive impact. For many years I’ve been creating radical waves of change behind-the-scenes. Now I’m keen to put my name against my work. By letting the world know who I am & what I do, not only can I further extend the reach, depth & breadth of my work, but also inspire others to join me on a journey of making a positive difference. My aim is to nurture people as individuals or collectively to move forward on their chosen path, no matter where they are on life’s journey. My role is to empower people by giving them the tools/capacity to take the next step with newfound confidence. I believe that we can change the world through kindness; every act paves the way for the small steps & big changes that unlock social good. I recognise that I have the human touch, powerful when combined with a deep connection with humanity. As a trained psychotherapist/counsellor & as a qualified coach, I’m skilled at quickly building a meaningful rapport with people and working with them on many levels. This ability to connect means that I can advocate for/champion the voice and needs of the target group, alongside direct facilitation to support them. I also have experience in the voluntary sector, having worked as a charity-based counsellor, assisted with a charity relaunch & currently as a trustee of two charities (also being treasurer of one). My game changing philanthropy runs from creating life changing opportunities and ongoing, longterm support for individuals through to ascertaining large corporate support with a national dimension. The common thread is that it is always strategic, involves the key stakeholders & addresses the need for long term sustainability. My hallmark is to be bold and courageous. And to cut out waste in the charity system. Examples of my work: Supporting a vulnerable young woman to explore her vision for her future. I then offered her practical, pragmatic and financial support on her journey so that she could finish her education & follow her dream of becoming a probation officer. Bigger projects have included being pivotal in securing £1 million’ worth of accommodation for the athletes at the Invictus Games. Most recently providing emergency supplies direct to evacuated Afghan families. My ability to move quickly was essential in this crisis. Constantly making new connections, I find value in every person I meet. I have consequently built an extensive, influential network. I have variously been described as a ‘powerhouse’ and ‘force of nature’.
