About Chetankumar Sangole

As a Head of Sustainability at the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA - industry association), I provide thoughtful leadership for the development, implementation and reporting of sustainability actions. I am leading and coordinating the technical, managerial and financial activities of sustainability (ESG) for multiple companies. I have close to 2 decades of experience in sustainable development, ESG, economy, climate and societal resilience, net-zero, and industrial engineering/operations/technology for helping organisations to develop and achieve 360 deg. ESG targets. Experience in all cross-functional areas of organisations with emphasis on policy, procedures, research, advisory, strategy, sustainable industrial operations, business development, feasibility, decision making, project management, implementation, financing and business models, IPMVP, impact assessment training/capacity building and so on. Amongst the highlights of my experience, I have personally assessed and served more than 200 organizations covering almost 400 plants of all sizes, scales and types across various supply chains, sectors and geographic regions. I have also worked with several multilateral and bilateral organizations and government departments through various multi-stakeholder projects and contributed to sustainable development that helped to gain significant experience in leading and coordinating technical, financial and managerial activities of sustainability/ESG and industrial technologies/operations-related assignments. I have mainly two countries experience: India & and Japan and regional working experience in almost 17 national states and 279 districts. I have delivered ~105 Presentations at national and international conferences and delivered ~180 Training sessions/programs on various topics. I have received a national and international level of Training from ~10 multiple programs (one of them is JICA, Japan), participated in ~190 Conferences and visited ~16 Exhibitions for networking and exchanging information, and 80 Articles/papers published on various materials topics of ESG. I have received an MTech (Energy) degree and a degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from Savitribai Phule Pune University. I am also an Accredited Energy Auditor of BEE. I am a good cricketer and a badminton player. I love to read books on management, and technical and philosophical topics. I am currently residing in Pune with my family.
