I currently just graduated from Ivy Tech. My education helped me develop research skills in Westlaw and LexisNexis in my Legal Research, Tort Law, Property Law, Civil Procedures, Family Law, Criminal Law & Procedures, Legal Writing, Bankruptcy Law, Business Law, Contracts and Procedures, and Legal Ethics classes. I also have research skills with virtual libraries doing Boolean searches and I have prepared trial notebooks, motions, complains, and also I have reviewed documents, maintained case notes. I am a fast learner. I am highly proficient and comfortable in the use of technology; for example I am skilled in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. I feel comfortable using mobile apps such as the Ivy Tech mobile app, Google Books, Gmail, and Adobe Reader. As a student I experienced most of my learning through online courses making independent studies easier for me. These show that I can capable of communication and researching on the go. My previous work as a server has opened a lot of opportunities for communication skills. I am used to working with all sorts of people and learning how to comply with their needs without overstepping my boundaries. As a result of my serving I have received two costumer service awards at Denny’s, one for Outstanding Customer Service, and the other for Denny’s Smile. Working as a server I am used to working long and strenuous hours. Working for Pizza King has built my telephone communication skills. Also working as an intern for local politicians I am familiar with professionally answering phones, returning calls, e-mails, and scheduling appointments.
