About Cheyenne Rowe

I’m currently a Commercial Credit Intern at Sallie Mae, where I’ve spent the past six months working with audits, balance sheets, and income statements to help assess financial risk for a range of institutions. It’s been a great opportunity to apply what I’ve learned in the classroom to real-world credit and lending decisions. I’m graduating a year early from the University of Utah with my bachelor’s in accounting. I’ve always been drawn to auditing because it requires both precision and trust — and I’ve found that strong communication and collaboration are just as important as technical skills. I enjoy asking thoughtful questions, sharing ideas, and working closely with others to solve problems. I try to be proactive in everything I do — whether that’s taking initiative on a project, learning a new skill, or finding ways to support my team. I’m still early in my career, but I’m excited to keep growing in the fields of credit, lending, and audit, and to contribute wherever I can.
