About Cheyenne Wehler

During the last 4 years of working for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, I have worked on multiple projects relating to Wildlife Management. Projects have included working with the Voluntary Public Access and Habitat Incentive Program (VPA-HIP) which provided public access to private lands for hunting, fishing, trapping, and wildlife observation. During my time with VPA-HIP I partnered with Pheasants Forever and landowners improve habitat on private lands. One of my current projects includes acting as a Chronic Wasting Disease Biologist providing assistance, and testing options for the public and deer hunters who are interested in receiving a CWD test for their harvested deer and/or information regarding deer health. Other projects and activities have included conducting various habitat management practices on state owned lands such as invasive species management in the forms of mowing, herbicide, brush cutting, etc.
