About Chiara Arena

Architect with a strong technical background in Building Information Modelling and Project Management. After graduating with full marks in Architecture and completing a Postgraduate Second Level Master’s Degree in BIM and Project Management at IUAV, I gained international experience at BIG in Copenhagen and currently work at MVRDV in Rotterdam as BIM Coordinator. My work focuses on multidisciplinary coordination, model management, and process optimization through the use of BIM tools and digital workflows. I believe in a design process that combines technical accuracy with creativity, allowing teams to work collaboratively and efficiently. Within MVRDV, I am part of the BIM Task Group, contributing to the implementation of office-wide standards, templates, and procedures. I am also an active member of the Women in BIM community, where I serve as a mentor, supporting the professional growth of women in digital construction and promoting diversity and inclusion in the BIM sector. My goal is to continue bridging design and technology, evolving towards BIM management and digital innovation in architecture.
