About Chiara Enderle

Passionate about Strengthening School Attendance, Student Voice & Multi-Tiered Support Frameworks | My research explores the building blocks of school attendance and wellbeing, with a particular focus on the perspectives of students themselves. By bringing student voice to the forefront, I aim to shift the conversation from deficit-oriented views of school attendance difficulties to strengths-based, preventive approaches that help young people engage and thrive in school. In my current work, I focus on international comparisons of school attendance problems and mental health in Sweden and Germany, examining how young learners can overcome challenges related to attendance. I am particularly interested in school-based prevention strategies and the relational and contextual factors that promote resilience, belonging, and wellbeing. Other areas of interest include- Inclusive educational research with a focus on emotional and social development - Teacher self-efficacy in supporting students with emotional and behavioral problems - Participatory and design-based research methodologies Beyond research, I am actively engaged in the Arqus Inclusion & Diversity Hub within the Arqus European University Alliance, contributing to initiatives that advance inclusive higher education across Europe.
