About Chiara Estrella

I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (May 2022) and have my NDTR certification. I currently work at Nutritious Lifestyles as a NDTR, where I provide nutrition education to residents and coordinate nutrition plan of care with the CDM, DON, MD, and SLP of each nursing home facility I consult at. I was Pack Lead and Dietary Lead at Kandle Dining Services over the summer of 2021! Job tasks included packing kosher meals for campers and staff on remote meal days, preparing and serving special diet meals in the camp dining hall, and collaborating with a Registered Dietitian to create ideal meal substitutions for special diets. I participated in the RD Mentorship Program from September 2020 to April 2021 and was able to learn a lot from the clinical pediatric Registered Dietitian I mentored under. I got to assist her in launching her pediatric picky eating program and designed handouts in Canva to guide families on a variety of medical nutrition topics relevant to pediatrics. I utilized evidence-based nutrition guidelines to create educational materials for her picky eating group program as well. I hold a ServSafe Food Safety Manager Certification, ServSafe Allergen Certification, and I am a student member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
