About Chiara Gabriele

I am strongly committed to the fight against impunity for human rights abuses. I have spent my entire career working for organizations dedicated to ensuring compliance of IHL and human rights in conflict and post conflict situations and supporting survivors’ efforts to achieve justice. I am well versed in strategic litigation, investigation and prosecution of international crimes; legal drafting and research. Working extensively in the field also allowed me to reinforce local actors of the justice chain through trainings and mentoring programs. I have experience working for NGOs, international organizations, and diplomatic delegations. I am currently doing consulting work and I am in the board and advisory board of civil society organizations active in the protection of asylum seekers and SGBV survivors. In my spare time, besides being an artsy nerd and a foodie, I enjoy putting insights from the field at the profit of more theoretical research with articles, presentations and collaborations with academia.
