About Chiedozie Orji

In my early years, the stage lights and the world of entertainment beckoned, leading me to pursue a career as a hip hop artist. Collaborating with fellow artists, I released several projects and had the exhilarating experience of performing across Hawaii, opening for renowned names like E-40, Scarface, Devin the Dude, and even a rising star named Drake. From 2009 to 2012, I co-managed a recording studio in Honolulu, and I gained insights into the intricate world of music production.Despite the success in the music scene, a realization struck me - my analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills were yearning for more. Thus, in 2012, I consciously shifted gears from a blue-collar role as a painter tech at VSE Corporation to embark on a journey towards becoming a knowledge worker.This pivotal decision led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Sociology at the University of Hawaii where I graduated with a 3.5 cumulative GPA in 2017. Post-graduation, I delved into a role as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), providing one-to-one care to students in both special and general education settings. Simultaneously, I took on the role of a Resident Advisor in Hale Kipa's Transitional Living Program where I supported teens and young adults transitioning out of homelessness and moving towards independent living.My pursuit of knowledge continued as I enrolled in Arizona State University's Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Masters program in 2019. While still working as an RBT and RA, I completed ASU’s BCBA practicum and obtained the BCaBA certification, graduating in 2021 with an MA in Special Education and a perfect 4.0 GPA.In 2021, I briefly served as a BCaBA at ACES Behavioral Health before a personal hiatus. After, completing the requirements to become a BCBA, I resumed my career as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at INVO Healthcare in February 2023. Here, I designed and oversaw behavioral intervention programs for elementary and intermediate school students, managed and trained RBTs, conducted parent and teacher consultations, and actively participated in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.After eight months, I decided to shift my focus to an MBA, blending my behavioral expertise with strategic business acumen. My journey reflects my passion for merging creativity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Let's connect and explore new horizons together!
