About Chieko Ishikawa

Professional Experience: Chieko negotiated and resolved a significant number of Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAP) and Advance Pricing arrangements (APA) as Competent Authorities (CA) with tax treaty partner of Japan around the world, including the US, Europe, and India. At the National Tax Agency (NTA), she involved in several OECD projects such as revising OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, Model Tax Treaty and BEPS project. She also participated OECD Committee on Fiscal Affairs including working party 6. Participated in discussions on UN Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters for revising the United Nation’s Practical Manual on Transfer Pricing. Chieko engaged in examination planning for large enterprises, international taxation including transfer pricing, and corporate tax examinations at the Large Enterprise Examination at RTB (Department of Regional Taxation Bureau,such as the Special Examiner's Office, International Examination of Large Enterprise Division, Transfer Pricing Division.) Since joining the Transfer Pricing Department of Ernst & Young Tax Co. in 2015, Chieko has provided support for tax audit outbound/inbound, MAP, APA, TP documentation, TP planning and policy support service.liminary inquiries for corporate taxes. Principal publications and contributions: Chieko has articles published in the book "Practical Introduction to Transfer Pricing Documentation" and the monthly periodical "International Taxation".
