About Chifula Kalisha

As I have worked in the disciplines of grants management, financial administration, and advisory services for many years, I am well-versed in offering technical assistance, financial advice, and management support in my role as a Finance and Grants Specialist. With my previous roles in agriculture in Zambia and Tanzania, I had the chance to interact with local organizations and promote peer-to-peer advice assignments for the benefit of farmer cooperatives. I have extensive experience as an accountant and financial manager for non-profit organizations, having worked in areas as diverse as budgeting, cash flow forecasting, payroll administration, auditing and financial statement production. I have extensive expertise in grants administration, including but not limited to proposal writing, concept note reviewing and grading, grant policy formulation and monitoring, keeping tabs on grantees, reconciling payments and close out. During the course of my career in finance and grants administration, I've come to appreciate the value of thorough and timely financial reporting, adherence to donor regulations, and clear and effective communication.
